VERY RARE 1940's LOT OF TWO Valley Bread PROMOTIONAL Comics!! $75.00 Shipped!!!!
Each of these is 7" long by 3 1/2" tall and neither is listed in the Overstreet Price Guide!! These are almost akin to the same size of the "March of Comics" line! These were attached to a loaf of bread in the late 1940's and it's near impossible to find these in very high grades.
TEX TAYLOR in "Draw or Die, Cowpoke!" is from 1948 or 1949, as close as I can tell. The Character began in 1947/48 by TIMELY COMICS (Later Marvel Comics) and that Title ran a total of nine issues...! There is a clean tear at the top that runs through the green smoke and a tiny tear at the bottom between the K & E of "Cowpoke" n the front cover. Besides these small infractions, the graphics are clean and colorful and all pages are complete!!
WACKY QUACKY in "All Aboard" seems also to be from 1949. Again, there is no definitive info in the Overstreet guide. but has several regular comic books up that run from $6.00 in FN to $2
