Barlow Woven Friendship Nantucket Style Basket Purse made exclusively for the Museum of Fine Arts Boston - 1980's. Vintage woven purse styled after the popular and collectible Nantucket basket purses with swing handle. Beautiful polymer sunflower designed medallion is centered on the lid; inside lid is a plain wooden medallion. The purse is lined in navy/seafoam green floral calico. The hinges are leather as well as the clasp on the lid that has the polymer peg. Marked Barlow on the wooden bottom. These baskets are sought after as they are no longer in production.
Preowned in very good vintage condition with no damage to the rattan cane. Minor scratches to wooden medallion on bottom. Label on interior Made for Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Smoke-free home. Measures approx 8.5" W; 6.75" D and 11.75" H handle up. PRICE IS FIRM.
