Inspired by a tale of a mother pelican wounding herself in a time of famine to feed her young with her blood, our designers created Vagabond House's Pelican Salt and Pepper Shakers with heartbreaking detail. Cast in pure pewter and hand finished, this unusual set will start conversations at the table as well as spice up your meal.
In legend, the pelican is portrayed as the noble bird who will sacrifice all for family and a pelican in the home will ward off famine and allow the host to feed every guest at their table.
