The color is hard to describe. It is like a beige Taupe would be my best description. The phone is in absolute excellent condition. It’s unbelievable how well it’s been maintained. There is one spot however, that I may have cleaned a little too hard on the front and it just has a slight fading of color. all parts are original. The cord is original I did cut the back of the cord so that I could thoroughly clean, it when I originally got it it’s been hanging on my wall since smoke-free it’s really an eyecatcher. It is definitely a statement piece to have on your wall. I have got a lot of compliments on it. The back of it says SC – 5542 May 19 69 and it has the inspectors stamp, it is a Stromberg Carlson made in South Carolina 63
